After the first hour: “Porsche” cars are in the lead
The 19th “Aurum 1006 km Races” event gets the audience excited. The launch has gone remarkably smoothly and the intrigue has begun.
In the first hour “Porsche 911 GT3 Cup” has pulled away from the opponents. Robertas Kupčikas from “Palanga Spa Hotel by EMG Motorsport” was in the lead, thus “Circle K milesPLUS racing team” has lacked behind almost by a minute.
R. Kupčikas drove 46 laps in the first hour.
“Palanga Spa Hotel 2 by SpeedLover” was getting ahead, yet the Belgian team “Independence by JR Motorsport“ su BMW E46 GTR” surpassed them to the third place.
Seven identical TCR class cars are competing in the races. Such car models do not fall behind one from another as leading teams are “Hegelmann Transporte by Algirdai@Nebankrutuok.lt” and “Hyundai i30 N TCR”.
However, there were accidents. Due to a small incident, “Porsche Baltic” team’s car crashed in to the slower opponent that led to the endured pipes.
“Dynami:t Energy” car broke down as well. It could be due to the fuel pump failure. “SEAT Leon TCR” team’s tire got punctured while other cars had to be checked in the technical maintenance zone.
In the second hour, the team’s drivers will have to change.
