Growing Tension: No Clear Leaders Halfway Through

It has been getting more and more hotter in “Aurum 1006 km Races” as TOP3 is changing all the time.

All the teams were done 186 laps at 16:26 marking the race’s halfway.

“Porsche” and TCR Go Against Each Other

Afer the first hour, the TOP3 included all “Porsche 911 GT3 Cup” cars. In the first place “Palanga Spa Hotel by EMG Motorsport” remained the longest.

“Circle K milesPLUS racing team” is the second while the third place belongs to “Palanga Spa Hotel 2 by SpeedLover”.

Ralf Aron from the latter team made a fast changes, and during the 168 lap, he recorded 1 min 10,862 sec. Another “Porsche” lagged behind him with 1 min 11,138 sec.

There are quite a few TCR class cars which take the 4-6 places: “Hegelmann Transporte by Algirdai @nebankrutuok.lt”, “DHL Racing Team” and “ALM Motorsport”.

Justas Jonušis (16) from “ALM Motorsport” states that TCR cars are easy to drive, however, he wants to enhance his performance as his team is in the 3rd place.

Cars Are Not Made for Heat

In the championship of the diesel cars, the leading participants are “PGM Technika Racing” who are followed by “Redus LT”.

In the A3000+ league, “Skycop racing” with BMW M3 is in the lead halfway through. X1 league’s leader is “Kauno automobilininkų sporto klubas” with LADA 2104 whilst the A3000 is “Ad Rem–Reimpex” with BMW 330i.

Some cars did not survive the atmosphere of 26C and the asphalt temperature which rose up to 39C degrees. Such is the case with “Independence by JR Motorsport“ BMW E46 GTR” who were one of the leaders in TOP5. The team’s car stopped at 101 lap.

Other incidents had happened for “GSR Motorsport”, “Gera Dovana – Emex Logistics”, “Bunasta by Žaibelis Motorsport” and other teams. After some time, “Porsche Baltic” with “Cayman GT4 Clubsport” returned to the track.
