Wednesday:
The event starts on Wednesday when all teams meet for the Technical and Administrative Commissions. For true motorsport fans, this is a great opportunity to get to know the teams and see the race cars. This year, the Technical and Administrative Commissions are moving from the S. Darius and S. Girenas Stadium to the race track, next to the main gate of the event. The good news is that this day is free of charge, and “Klaipedos autobusu parkas” will provide free transport from Palanga to the venue and back from 12 pm.
Thursday:
On Thursday, 20 July, all cars will traditionally parade through the streets of Palanga and stop at Vytautas st. for the traditional opening of the event and the “Dynami:t” Super Sprint competition.
During the opening ceremony, the action will also take place on the event grounds, where we will find the “Porsche” Club's ongoing drives, which will give way to the first practice sessions of the Aurum 1006 km race in the afternoon.
Traditionally, on Thursday, we will also see drag races. But differently than we used to see this year only qualifying runs will take place on the track towards Klaipeda, and the finals of the drag races are moving to Friday.
Friday:
Friday is always packed with all kinds of attractions both on and off the track. On this day, the track will host the start of the “108km Women's Challenge” ( https://racing.lt/en/108km-women-challenge), as well as the Mechanics running race, auto slalom and drag.
The most important part on Friday is the qualifying race, where will be decided who will take the place in the front line of the Aurum 1006km grid.
One of the biggest news of this year - the drag competition finals are moving to Friday evening, which means more people will be able to come and witness the amazing drag finals with the most impressive cars.
Saturday:
On the main race day, the hustle and bustle start in the morning. From 10:30 am, teams will start lining up for a start procedure, which is broadcast live at 12 pm. The race will continue into the evening, but during the day, there will be plenty of action not only on the track but also in the village of the event, where traditionally, various competitions and shows will entertain all the spectators – “dB Drag”, “Memel Motor Fest” and many other attractions, and the closing concert with, of course, the awards ceremony of the Aurum 1006 km race.
Come and fall in love with motorsport!
