A regiment of ambitious rookies at 108 km women challenge
The traditional 108 km women's challenge competition, organised by the women's television TV8 and Promo events, gained considerable popularity.
According to Jolanta Iselionienė, the coordinator of this event, over sixty teams expressed their interest to participate in the 108 km women's challenge. Among them are not only regular participants but also a lot of new teams. That is not surprising because this year's event, which, as before, will be followed by TV8 cameras, also has one attractive innovation - the rookie standings. Teams composed of first-time participating women will compete for the special prize.
Organisers expect even more spectators this year at the "108 km women challenge" and at the "Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook" racing festival because of the great initiative of Vaidas Ramanauskas, director of "Klaipedos autobusu parkas" to help people reach the temporary racing town.
