The announcement has been made, the date of the Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook, the largest festival of the long-distance race in the Baltic States, is public. Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook will take place in the middle of the summer on 13-16 July 2022. The festival traditionally will be held in Palanga, the biggest resort in Lithuania.
Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook race has a rich history. The event has been organised since 2000, so it will be the 23rd time in its history. Many drivers worldwide know this unique race. The event is taking place on a temporary track built on two specially for this event closed motorways. Many drivers from Europe, the UK, Africa and even Australia already drove on this track. Many of them are coming back, again and again, to experience the unique spirit that this event has.
Palanga Mayor Šarūnas Vaitkus is convinced "Palanga residents are going to welcome every visitor and invite not only to admire the event but also to walk around Palanga, relax by the sea, visit the beautiful Palanga's public spaces".
"It is still too early to speak about the news that we are planning to introduce for the next year, but I can assure you there will be some exciting future announcements. Therefore for everyone, athletes and speed fans, I would suggest saving the date on their calendars July 13-16, 2022," says Darius Jonušis, the founder and the main organiser of the Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook.
