Experience and youth - components of equal importance at "Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook" racing

Egidijus Valeiša, Justas Jonušis and Mindaugas Varža will be driving Audi TCR at the "Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook" race in Palanga on the 14-17 of July. The team called "Inter Rao Lietuva by Texaco" is ready to strive for victory at the TCR class and fight for the main trophy of the race.

"Confidence is built by the well-established trio of athletes, who are united not only by the passion and irresistible desire to win but also by experience and youthful enthusiasm," says Darius Jonušis, the organiser of the race and father of Justas.

Last year Egidijus and Justas, together with Kęstutis Stasionis and Sten Piirimagi, represented the "Noker Racing Team". The team that drove Volkswagen Golf GTI took third place in the overall standings. Besides that, 19 years old J. Jonušis achieved the fastest result of the team in the last lap of the race. It will be the fourth race of J. Jonušis career in Palanga, and he is already a two-time winner in the TCR class.

E. Valeiša had the most memorable race in Palanga in 2017. That time he, together with Jonas and Ignas Gelžinis, represented the Skuba Dream team and, with the "Porsche 911 GT3 CUP 997", won the race. "Such moments are unforgettable," says E. Valeiša, who drove in Palanga more than ten times.

"The most memorable is my first race in Palanga, in 2014, when we took the third place in the class with almost standard BMW M3," M. Varža remembers his most significant victory so far. Mindaugas will be driving in Palanga for the fifth time, additional three years, he represented different teams as a team manager, so this year at the Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook race is his ninth.

According to Justas Jonušis, their team will fight for victory in the TCR class again. Still, it will not be easy to fight for the podium in the overall standings because this year, there will be many fast cars and many more talented drivers.
