"Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook" race festival presentation took place in Vilnius, Gedimino Avenue, on Saturday, the 26th of June.
The capital of Lithuania became like a small racing city, with a lot of spectators coming to see the variety of racing cars. Many teams came to show their technic, which will line up at the start of the "Aurum 1006km powered by Hankook" on the 17th of July. Not less attention from spectators got the participants of additional events. The presenters acknowledged the "108 km women challenge", "ULTIM8 Drag", "Audio Freakz Lietuva dB Drag", "Vintage car association Seni kibirai" participants and "4x4 Gintarinis pajūris" off-road, which will be a part of the "Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook" for the very first time.
The traditional presentation is a ceremony to hand over the transitional trophy back to the race organiser. The team winner of last year "Circle K milesPlus Racing Team", handed the trophy to the race organiser Darius Jonušis.
During the event, the presenters announced that KIA will be taking care of the safety of the "Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook". KIA Stinger will be officially titled a race Safety Car. "That is a huge responsibility because the car for this position has to be fast and powerful. Indeed, KIA Stinger cannot be lack acceleration", says Gintaras Kaukėnas, Director of UAB "KIA Auto". KIA "Sorento" this year will be named as a race Rescue Car.
Although no one was racing here, the race presentation, which was broadcast on TV3play, did not lack attention until the end.
Many spectators had the opportunity to try new flavours of the Aurum ice cream and win some prizes supplied by the partners of the "AURUM 1006 km powered by Hankook".
