R. Čapkauskas: "We will only be satisfied with the top step on the podium"
Less than a month remains until the highly anticipated “Aurum 1006 km” race, the biggest endurance race in the Baltic States, commences in Palanga on the 19th of July. This renowned car racing festival, organized by Promo Events since 2000, will attract top drivers and adrenaline enthusiasts to the largest resort in the country from July 19th to 22nd.
As the race approaches, drivers are fully engaged in final preparations and car testing.
Ramūnas Čapkauskas, the leader of the “TDS group-TOKS racing team” who previously won in 2007, will drive with Nemunas Dagilis, that has three victories in the Aurum 1006 km race.
"We will only be satisfied with the top step of the winners' podium" says R. Čapkauskas.
The team also includes Valteris Zviedris, a talented 22-year-old from Riga, Latvia, who brings a wealth of experience from his karting and circuit racing successes. Valteris, who has competed in the “Porsche Cup” and claimed championship titles in both Latvian TCR and the “Porsche Cup”, expressed his dedication to winning the race in Palanga.
The “TDS group-TOKS racing team” will be equipped with the latest “Porsche 911 GT3 Cup” car, joining other formidable competitors in the race. Additionally, Ramūnas' son Titas will lead both the “TDS group-TOKS” racing team and the “ALBE-ALLIANCE” racing team, featuring skilled drivers such as Tomas Šipkauskas, Simonas Ramanauskas, and Tautvydas Butkus.
With the race fast approaching, the team is focused on victory and has employed experienced drivers, including Žilvinas Juršys, to coordinate their tactics and strategy.
