Lithuanians traveled around The Baltic sea in 52 hours and 30 minutes

Two experienced drivers Vitoldas Milius and Aidas Bubinas do many trips every year and most of them happen to be record breaking or interesting inn any other way. During this year Aurum 1006 km race they’ve thought of their own race – to travel around Baltic sea as fast as possible.

They’ve reached the finish line, Aurum 1006 km race town, in 52 h and 30 minutes after start. They’ve travelled around Baltic sea counterclockwise, through Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Poland and Lithuania.

Average driving speed of diesel powered Kia Proceed was 100 km/h, average fuel consumption – 5.3 l/100 km. In total they’re covered 5008 kilometers.

Vitoldas and Aidas drove all the way stopping just in petrol stations for refuel. However, one long 3.5 hours stop was not avoidable – it was ferry travel from Tallinn to Helsinki, so average speed of the whole trip was 95 km/h.
