In “Aurum 1006 km race“ camp – entertainment for everyone
Every year in the middle of July, the biggest racing event takes place in Palanga “Aurum 1006km race”. Even though the main event is the race, however, there are many entertain beside that. It is called racing festival not without reason – people come here from Thursday until Sunday.
In Camping Site – 3 days of entertainment
In the camping site people were gathering since Wednesday, by Thursday there were many tents. The days were full of events from watching drag or drift races to relaxing and have a grab to bite.
On Friday and Saturday, “Bobcat” specialists are showing off their skills. There is as well a soccer field, “Bonpet” fire show and two nights in a row there were night time movie screenings.
Painting on Cars
On the race site, there are many food tents, tents where you can buy souvenirs and other goods. There is as well and art to admire at – Karalius Oskaras (Fenomen) has painted over 3 cars, on Thursday he has started his graffiti. The artist has commented that this piece of art combines confrontation and similarities. He wanted to memorize the atmosphere of the race. Blue symbolizes calmness, sea, red – the event’s atmosphere, the adrenaline, speed.
