The construction of the Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook Race town has started

Work has already started on the intersection of Klaipėda - Liepoja and Palanga - Kretinga roads. For the 25th time, this place will become the temporary town of the Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook race, welcoming both athletes and spectators.

"A whole race town that has grown in a very short period of time is a necessary infrastructure for the event that will start on 17 July" says Darius Jonušis, the head of the 1000 km Race and the main organiser of the event. - This year, we started preparations earlier, and there is only one reason for that - it is the 25th anniversary of the race in its history.

Therefore, we want to do our best, and I have no doubt that we will do so, to ensure that the programme of this festival leaves the best possible impression on the athletes, all the services, the officials and the spectators, and that they all feel at home when they come to the race.

"To build all the structures needed for the race, including the PIT, is a very responsible job and we will do our best to make sure that all the drivers, team managers and technical staff, whose place of work is here, are satisfied," says Marius Jankevičius, Director of Scaffolding Solutions, the partner of the race. - Then it will be the turn of the nearby grandstands with a capacity of several thousand spectators, the LED screen structures, the installation of the TV cameramen's and referee's towers, and we will finish with the installation of bridges and other obstacles to make it as easy as possible for the spectators to reach their desired deployment points."

Before the structures could be assembled, they first had to be transported from various parts of the country to the temporary racing campus here.

This was taken care of by UAB Continexus, one of the leading logistics companies in Lithuania with almost 24 years of experience, a fully Lithuanian-owned company, committed to being a reliable partner for effective cooperation and long-term partnership.

The 25th Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook will feature a 100-square-metre press centre for the accredited journalists, with a 100-square-metre press centre.

There are many things that are invisible to the eye in a race town. To ensure the success of journalists, TV broadcasts and other communications, over 5 kilometres of cables will be laid to send signals in different directions for the 25th Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook.

The race's main stage is also going up, where not only the race winners and prize-winners will climb up after the race. The crowds will be also entertained by the country's most beloved entertainers and stage performers.
