As the biggest holidays of the year approach, we often find ourselves swept up in the frenzy of gift shopping – and the question of how to surprise our loved ones doesn’t always have an easy answer. But if someone close to you enjoys motorsport, the organizers of “Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook” have a great suggestion to make their day – ticket sales are now open for the 27th endurance race taking place in Palanga on July 15–18.
“No need to wait in line at shopping malls – fans who get their tickets early can already start planning one of the hottest summer weekends in Palanga. For some, it has become an irreplaceable tradition, but every year we also see many first-time visitors to the racing village who leave already looking forward to the next year,” says Darius Jonušis, event organizer and director of the public institution “1000 km lenktynės”.
Ticket Options for Every Fan
As every year, various types of tickets are available for the event, giving access to different areas and activities throughout the race weekend. This year, the organizers have simplified the selection by narrowing it down to five ticket levels, making it easier and clearer to choose.
The most basic is the one-day ticket, valid for a single day and granting access to the general event area, entertainment/concert zones, and paddock.
Those planning to attend for more than one day can purchase a multi-day pass, which offers the same access as the one-day ticket but is valid throughout the entire event.
It’s worth remembering that Thursday is dedicated to team practice, Friday features additional practice and qualifying sessions, and Saturday is the main event – the “Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook” race. Throughout the weekend, the track also hosts a variety of other events: Porsche Club runs, drag races, the “Technitis” spectator slalom, the Women’s Challenge, and more.
Three Levels of VIP Access
One of the biggest new features at this year’s race is the introduction of three levels of VIP tickets, offering even more experiences and close-up views of the action. Fans can choose from the VIP Club, VIP Superfan, or the most comprehensive option – the VIP All-Access ticket.
The prestigious VIP Club ticket offers access to a premium viewing area with excellent track visibility, along with VIP Shuttle service – shuttle buses running to and from the event venue throughout the weekend. It also includes the Grid Walk experience, allowing fans to stand among the sports cars lined up at the starting grid. Of course, this ticket also includes access to entertainment, concerts, and the paddock – all included with regular admission.
With VIP Club tickets, fans can watch the race in comfort while enjoying delicious food and drinks, observing the work of live commentators, and even winning various prizes.
The VIP Superfan ticket offers even more, granting access to a dedicated Superfan pit box area. Children are also welcome here with a valid VIP Superfan ticket (those under 120 cm must be accompanied by an adult, while children taller than 120 cm may enter unaccompanied).
It’s important to remember that both adults and children need valid tickets to enter the VIP Superfan pit box zone. These ticket holders will also be able to take part in the Pit Walk – visiting the team garages, where all the behind-the-scenes action takes place during the race and which are otherwise unaccessible to spectators.
A bonus gift included with the ticket
For those who want to experience everything the event has to offer – and watch the race up close throughout the weekend – the top-tier VIP All-Access ticket is the way to go. It includes all previously mentioned benefits and opens the doors to the teams’ pit boxes – an area where the roar of the engines can be felt in every part of the body.
VIP All-Access ticket holders will also receive an official race merchandise gift pack.
“Some fans prefer to watch the race via TV broadcast, and we’re truly grateful for that. But we also warmly invite everyone to come and see and feel it for themselves – the atmosphere here, the roar of the engines, even the smell – it leaves no one indifferent.
As a Christmas gift, a ticket like this will excite its recipient all the way until the much-anticipated race weekend,” says D. Jonušis, head of “1000 km lenktynės”, encouraging fans to enjoy the race and gift the experience to their loved ones.
