Indy 500 traditions finds Lithuania
“ENEOS 1006 km Race“ in Palanga July 19-22 will surprise everyone. People who will watch the race will see the unusual prize giving ceremony. The winner will not be celebrating in champagne showers but with milk. First time in Lithuanian racing history the winner will have milk shower instead of the usual champagne.
The owner of “Rokiškio Pienas” Ltd., Dalius Trumpa, just signed to contract and made it official. Dalius Trumpa says that he is glad that “Naminis” milk just got the “Best Buy Award” and thus, all the drivers will enjoy this healthy product.
As strange as it sounds milk instead of champagne is no news for the world. In US, one of the oldest race in the history of motorsport, Indianapolis, since 1936 every winner of the race “Indy 500” enjoys tasty bottle of milk. Of course, it will be first time in Lithuania.
Hopefully our drivers will like this idea and we will continue it as a tradition throughout the years” – comments the organizer of the race Darius Jonušis.
