Can everyone win this year's “Aurum 1006 km” race

“Aurum 1006 km" – the biggest race in the Baltics, organized by “Promo Events”, is just a month away from crowning its 24th winner. Teams are in a serious phase of preparations, finalising registrations, recruiting members, and conducting intense training sessions. Strategies and tactics are being fine-tuned for the ultimate endurance battle of the season.

Three teams are ready at the “Juta” garage

“Juta Racing”, led by team manager Audrius Gelžinis, will present three well-equipped teams at the Palanga’s race. Having won the “Aurum 1006 km” race for the past four years, the “Juta Racing” team is determined to defend their title, although the challenge is expected to be tough. Jonas Gelžinis, a ten-time winner in Palanga, and team manager Haris Aleksandravičius, returned the transition cup during the recent team presentation, acknowledging the difficulty of the upcoming race. But will it be easier for three to overcome the challenge?

H. Aleksandravičius, the first team manager of “Circle K Miles Plus Racing Team,” believes that while fewer teams may be present this year, their competitiveness continues to grow – especially this year. According to him, competitiveness causes difficulty in living up to expectations, as virtually anyone can win. H. Aleksandravičius finishes by saying he sees the Top 10 as a league where almost any team can excel.

The Teams

The first “Circle K Miles Plus Racing Team” will feature a new addition of Ukrainian racer Yevgen Sokolovsky, alongside Julius Adomavičius and Oskaras Brazaitis, previous winners of the “Aurum 1006 km” race. They’ll be driving an “Audi R8 LMS GT Evo II“. Haris Aleksandravičius will act as the team manager.

The second “Circle K Miles Plus Racing Team” will be managed by Andrius Gelžinis. While Simas Juodviršis, Justas Jonušis, Arūnas Gečiauskas and Vytenis Gulbinas, will drive the same car as the first team.

The third team, “Juta Racing”, comprising Andrius Jasionauskas, Karolis Jovaiša, and Arminas Kondratovičius, will drive a “Porsche GT3 Cup II” car. Inga Kačinskienė will act as the team manager.
