Ladies Really Wanted to Win

On Friday, 59 women’s crew began “108 km Women’s Challenge Powered by Kristiana” rally which was initiated by TV8 channel.

Ladies’ rally attended various representatives of different ages and professions. There was “Lietuvos kelių policija” which consisted of four women who all drove “Audi A6”.

“Spanguolės” team consisting of Lina Kraftė and Greta Vėsaitė drove “Range Rover Sport”.

A lot of audience sympathy received “Moterų televizijos TV8” team with “Kia Ceed”. In the team, TV presenter K. Rimienė said that she respects every opponent but she will not go without a fight.

The teammates from “Antėja-kraujotyrimai.lt” were quite comfortable sitting in the “Peugeot 208”.

Sport organiser Jolanta Iselionienė claims that preparing for a racing event which is all about the women is not something new. Thus, she did not hesitated to help “Aurum 1006 km Races” with the rally.

Every track was chosen by Lithuanian mini-rally champion Ilona Steponėnė.

The women started the rally at the same place where the Grand Race will be held.

There were a lot of challenges in the rally as there was a need to use navigation, to find a stadium and other places near Palanga.

Agnė Mažeikienė, Renata Karpavičiūtė, Vaida Mažeikaitė and Vaida Daneliūtė from “Sėlinančios vapsvos” triumphed in the rally.

The 2nd prize was won by “Citus” and the 3rd one by “Kovinės patriotės”. The 4th place was left for “Murrr” and the 5th for “B.O.M.B.A”.

TV3 general director, Laura Blaževičiūtė congratulated the winners and said she is glad that the women enjoy racing cars.

The sponsor prizes such as “Kristiana”, “Simuliatorių akademija” and others were given to the racers for the participation.
