The Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook race program is almost clear

Fifty days to go until the biggest motorsport festival in the Baltic States - the 23rd Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook race. This year, the curtain will go up on the race on Wednesday, 13 July, at noon.

As soon as the teams have been checked technically and fixed all the administrative questions, there will be a live TV broadcast of the teams' presentations.

Officially the event will be opened on Thursday, 14 July. A parade of Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook race cars will start at 10 am at the track and will stop at Palanga, Vytautas Street for the opening ceremony. The first official race Dynami:t Super Sprint will take place just after the opening.

While Vytautas Street will be full of excitement, there will be a lot of action at the race town as well:

  • At 11.45 am, practices will start on the Drag practice track.
  • At 12.10 pm, the Porsche Club Lithuania will be practicing on the main track.

There will be a lot more action on Thursday.

From 1 pm everyone will be able to try the track of Technitis Auto Slalom for slalom fans. It will be the seventh time that the Spectators' Slalom competition has been held, and this year the well-known company Technitis has become a partner in the competition that will help to improve the quality of the event.

The first Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook practice session will take place on Thursday at 2 pm.
At 7 pm the Ultim8 Drag Finals will take place on the main race track and round off the day's program.

On Friday, 15 July, at 10.30 am, the racetrack will host the start of the "108 km Women Challenge", another extremely popular race, which is being held for the fifth year in a row. The winners and runners-up of the ladies' race will be honoured on the big stage at 10.30 pm on the same evening.

The traditional Dynami:t 1006 m Mechanics' Run will take place on Friday at 12.10 pm. The most unique race will start at 6 pm, when the historic car association "Seni Kibirai" will be racing only with historical cars.

But definitely the main event on Friday is the qualifying session that will take place at 3.20 pm, with the hottest point at 5:20 pm Super pole, TOP 10.

The main day of the race is on Saturday 16 July.

Of course, the focus that day is the 23rd Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook race, which will start at noon, with live TV coverage starting even earlier at 11 am. The marathon race is expected to finish around 9 pm, and 20 minutes after the finish, the organisers will hold the price giving ceremony on the main stage, followed by the closing concert on the main stage.

Even very interested motorsport fans often find it useful to distract themselves a little.

The exhibitions of the Historic Car Association "Seni Kibirai" and the Memel Motor Fest will take place on Saturday. Audio enthusiasts will be able to enjoy the Audio Freakz Lietuva dB Drag qualifying, the quarterfinals, and the finals at 5 pm near the main stage.
