108 km Women's Challenge

108 crews and 423 women successfully completed the 108 km Women's Challenge on Friday, marking the 25th anniversary of the Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook with these record numbers.

The women's orienteering rally, which stretched through seaside towns and cities, not only required the participants to admire the scenery, but also to overcome obstacles or solve specific tasks. Although 45 new teams took part in this year's event, all of them, just like the old ones, successfully reached the finish line.

"We have a lot to be proud of - the women rode, had fun and overcame the challenge all day long. It was really tough, with two slaloms and a slippery surface. I have noticed that the women are getting better every year. You could say that this competition develops driving skills that are useful in everyday life", said Jolanta Iselionienė, the coordinator of the competition, about the social benefits of the event.
