Nine teams have already started registering to compete in the Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook race

Many teams are already planning their summer races, preparing their cars, and conducting training sessions to select the drivers who will handle their high-speed cars in Palanga.

The organizer of the race, Darius Jonušis, notes that application submissions follow the usual, predictable timeline, based on years of experience. He is pleased that one of the first to respond to the organizers invitation was the Latvian team, Porsche Latvia Racing Team, which is going to participate in the 26th endurance race in Palanga.

As their name suggests, the Latvian team is bringing a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport to Palanga, the same car they successfully raced with in last years Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook race.

“We’re eager to return to Palanga with the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport and aim for even greater success this year, said Valters Zviedris, team manager and driver for Porsche Latvia Racing Team.

Last year, the team’s Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport was driven by Martins Lukstins, Andrejs Kuznecovs, Lithuanian Darius Gaidulionis, and Valters Zviedris, completing their fastest lap in 1:12.020.

The Baltic Karting Academy has also submitted its application to compete in the 26th Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook race.

Team manager Edvardas Grabliauskas is pleased that the team has a competitive car: a Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport. This is the same car that Robertas Kupčikas drove to victory in 2018 alongside Nemunas Dagilis and Belgian Steve Vanbellingen.

One of the most exciting aspects of the upcoming race is that nearly all nine teams that have submitted applications so far plan to race powerful Porsche cars of various modifications on the Palanga track.

This ensures that the Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook race will once again deliver thrilling action, keeping spectators on the edge of their seats.
