"AURUM 1006 KM" RACE PRESENTATION IN VILNIUS, GEDIMINAS AVENUE
The preparation for the biggest motorsport event in the Baltics, the "Aurum 1006 km" race is almost finished. This was announced by Darius Jonušis, director of the "Promo Events", company that is organizing the race.
The main trophy has been returned to the organiser
On Saturday, the “Aurum 1006 km” race presentation event took the place in Vilnius, Gediminas Avenue. One of the purpose of the event was to return the Transitional Winners' Cup of the "Aurum 1006 km" race, to the race organizer. The trophy will stay with the organizer not for very long, only until 22 July, when we will have a new winner.
"Let's not speculate on whose name will be engraved on the trophy this year," said D. Jonušis. - We want to see a tough, passionate fight until the last meters of the distance, and may the best man win".
A wide variety of entertainment will accompany the race
On Gediminas Avenue, the event hosts also unveiled a wide variety of entertainment and colorful attractions, which will accompany the "Aurum 1006 km " race festival.
Perhaps the biggest attraction each year is the "Ultim8 Drag" race, which fans can enjoy right at the start of the event when the participants of this drag race take their cars to the track. Drag races were usually held on Thursdays, this year have been moved to Friday, and the finals will take place immediately after the qualifying competitions.
At the presentation of the "Aurum 1006 km" race on Gediminas Avenue, the attention of the athletes was also attracted by the presence of a group of women, some of whom are preparing for and will take part in the "108 km Women's Challenge", which is taking place for the sixth year in a row.
Prepare your earplugs because we'll see sound enthusiasts in Palanga too. Pioneer 1006km dB Drag participants traditionally will come to show who has the best sound system in the car.
Exclusive car’s fans will also be delighted in Palanga because "Memel Motor Fest" will be part of the event. And the "Sonax Sexy Car Wash" will show how to wash cars with style.
Race safety also received a lot of attention during the event presentation. The KIA EV6 and KIA Sportage were presented as Safety Cars and Rescue Cars for this year’s event.
