"Aurum 1006 km race“ winner and record holder A. Fjordbach returns
Danish driver Anders Fjordbach will again represent the Stateta BRO - IGNERA by AMG team with which he won last year's Aurum 1006 km race. Last year, Anders Fjordbach not only took first place in qualifying but also broke the course record three times. Fjordbach's best time was 1 minute. 05.425 sec.
Was it difficult to bring a very fast driver like Fjordbach back to Lithuania?
"It is very easy," says Ernestas Staponkus, president of the ES Motorsport Club. - Anders made his debut in Lithuania last year, and it was not only the victory but also the race itself that left the best impression. That's why it only took half a word for him to come back to Palanga.
Last year during the Aurum 1006 km race, the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT3 EVO of the Stateta BRO by HMobile team was driven by Anders Fjordbach, his countryman Jan Magnusen, and by Lithuanians Eimantas Navikauskas and Edvinas Žadeikis.
This year the "Stateta BRO - IGNERA by AMG" team will drive the same car and will be represented by the most talented drivers - Anders Fjordbach as well as Julius Adamavičius, who also won this race four times in a row (2019-2022) and Nemunas Dagilis, who won the race three times - in 2005, 2013 and 2018.
