Put your driving skills to the test: Orlen spectators' slalom underway alongside the race circuit
While competitors in the Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook race prepare for the most important battles of the weekend, visitors to the event also have the chance to test their driving skills. On Friday, the Orlen Spectators' Slalom got underway near the Klaipėda Corner, giving everyone the opportunity to compete in their own cars.
Organised by Pajūrio Slalomas, the competition features an approximately 800-metre course where success depends not on engine power but on precision, driving skill and the ability to complete the slalom as quickly as possible. Participants compete in separate classes based on their vehicle's drivetrain, while a dedicated women's classification is also part of the event.
Anyone wishing to take part can register on site at the slalom course next to the Klaipėda Corner. There is no limit to the number of runs each participant can complete, allowing drivers not only to compete against others but also to improve on their own best times.
The Orlen Spectators' Slalom will run until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, while Saturday's programme will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The fastest competitors in each class will receive trophies and prizes provided by the event's sponsors.
While professional drivers battle for every fraction of a second on the main Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook circuit, the Orlen Spectators' Slalom offers visitors the opportunity to safely put their own driving precision to the test and experience a taste of the excitement of motorsport.
