Spectators Competing Next to the Track – Slalom Open to Everyone

For the second day in a row, the “Technitis” slalom competition is taking place next to the main “Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook” race track, where anyone can participate with their own car. The slalom is unique in that it requires no special driving skills – it’s a great opportunity to experience a small part of what real racers feel on the main track nearby. Even those without a suitable vehicle can rent one on site from the event partner.

In the direction of Klaipėda, next to the main race track, an 800-meter-long slalom course has been set up – so far, the fastest participant has completed the challenge in 55 seconds. All drivers compete in separate classes based on their vehicle’s driven wheels, and there is also a separate ladies’ classification. Registration is available on site, at the slalom course near the Klaipėda corner. The number of runs per participant is unlimited.

Trophies and sponsor gifts will be awarded to the winners in each class, and the fastest overall driver will receive a €100 cash prize from the slalom partner “TAVO-AUTO.lt”.

Over thirty participants have already recorded their best times, and the runs will continue until 7:00 PM.

Sound Competition Underway

Also taking place in the race village is the “Audio Freakz Lietuva dB Drag” decibel drag. These well-known and popular competitions among car audio enthusiasts determine whose sound system is the most powerful by measuring the sound pressure level inside or outside the vehicle.

This year, forty participants are competing in three different formats: – SPL – measuring the peak generated sound pressure; – Bass Race – measuring the average sound level; – Street Sound – measuring the sound level produced by speakers mounted in the front doors.

Winners will be announced during the final at 5:00 PM.
