The biggest car racing event in the Baltic States “Aurum 1006km race” have started in Palanga. As usual, first administrative and scrutineering check teams have started their work. It was stated that after checks, 28 teams are allowed to compete on Saturday. The chief of scrutineering check, Raul Koov from Estonia, was demanding but all registered teams have prepared well and were allowed to participate in the main race.
Jokingly it was mentioned that “Aurum 1006km race” long time ago surpassed world-known “Formula1” where only up to 10 teams are participating. Unfortunately, one of the favourite teams “Balpol/Nebankrutuok.lt byExit“ will not participate in the race. Team members Justas Jonusis, Deividas Jocius and Nemunas Dagilis were supposed to drive GT3 class “Porsche GT3-R” After the bad news, “Noker” team has invited to join J. Jonusis to join their team for the race. Predicting intense fight Teams from Lithuania, Estonia and Great Britain are set to compete in the 21 st long distance race. 105 sportsmen from Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Great Britain and Kazakhstan. The car of the race is BMW with 11 teams driving it. Porsche was chosen in 5 teams.
