Aurum 1006 km Race 2024 - from a statistical perspective

On 17-20 July, Palanga hosted the 25th anniversary of the largest race in the Baltic States, Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook, organised annually since 2000 by the Public Enterprise 1000 km Races. The anniversary was marked by a very hard-fought battle right from qualifying, where track records were broken twice. A sunny and hot race day gave the spectators plenty of dramatic moments, overtaking, unexpected collisions and many attractions.

The perfect conditions allowed the athletes with their powerful cars to demonstrate a steady pace throughout the race, and it was no surprise that the course record was broken by the STATETA BRO-TOKS by IGNERA team. For the second time in a row, the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT3 was the first car to cross the finish line.
