First practice session
As soon as the parade in Vytautas street has finished, Aurum 1006 km race drivers came back to the track, the first practice session has begun.
All teams were divided in groups and two practising sessions were organized. The weather conditions were perfect – dry and warm. All the teams did not push over their limits and just remembered how the Aurum 1006 km race track feels.
The “biggest bombs” practised in the second session. All the teams as well got used to the track and drove faster. Jonas Gelzinis (Circle K MilesPlus Racing Team), who won the 1000 km race seven times, did the best time with Porsche 911 GT3 Cup – 1:11.831
Tomorrow, on Friday, all teams will have more practice sessions and qualification, which will be divided in two parts. The first part will be for everyone, the second, called Super Pole – just for the Top10.
