While Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook is known for high-speed racing, there’s another kind of competition taking place where cars don’t even need to move – the Pioneer 1006km dB Drag, organized for the sixth consecutive year by the Audio Freakz Lietuva team.
This year, over 40 participants with highly tuned car audio systems competed for the title of loudest vehicle. The contest featured three disciplines: SPL (Sound Pressure Level), which measures the peak sound level; Bass Race, measuring the average sound over a 30-second music track; and Street Sound, which focuses on speaker output from front door installations.
The loudest car reached an astonishing 166 dB – louder than a Boeing 747 taking off (approx. 140 dB).
