Organisers are delighted with the turnout of teams taking part in the „Aurum 1006 km Powered by Hankook“ race

150 days to go until the „Aurum 1006 km Powered by Hankook“, the greatest endurance race in the Baltic States, that takes place in Palanga, the largest resort of Lithuania on 19 July 2023.

“Although the Aurum 1006 km Powered by Hankook race is still five months away, we already have over 20 teams who have expressed their interest in competing in the only race of its kind in Lithuania.” – says Darius Jonušis, founder of the event.

The organisers note that five of the teams that have now applied will be driving fast and powerful Porsche cars of various modifications. Porsche brand cars have won 15 of the 23 endurance races that have already taken place in Palanga.

Third place winners – first to apply

Last year's third place GT Open class winners, the “Porsche Club by LG Oled” team, were the first to enter the „Aurum 1006 km Powered by Hankook“ race this year. They will be driving a 510 HP, “2022 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup” (992) and will compete in the same GT Open class.

Three teams this year

“Porsche Lietuva” is sending over two teams with a “Porsche 911 GT3 Cup” and one team with a “Porsche Cayman GT4” to compete in the endurance race this year.

Faithful to the diesel engine

The organisers have already received an application from another regular participant in this race, “Antėja Racing Team”. This year, they will be driving a “BMW 135D”.
