“Aurum 1006 km” Technical commission

On Wednesday afternoon, the “Aurum 1006 km race”, the largest in the Baltic States, got off to a symbolic start in Palanga.

This year, the commissions moved from the Darius and Girenas Stadium to the race track, where the cars prepared for the race were brought.

The Commission's favourable decision allowed the teams to enter the race track, where the champions and prize winners of the 24th endurance race will be announced on Saturday 22 July.

The 2023 “Aurum 1006 km” race will feature 23 teams, totalling 79 drivers from six countries: Lithuania, Latvia, Ukraine, the Netherlands, England, and Denmark. The race will also feature some well-known racing stars such as: Benjamin Barker, Bas Schouten and Jan Magnussen.

Among the 23 team leaders, there are two women this year – Indrė Senkutė, who will lead the “Sonderus Racing” team, and Inga Kačinskienė, who will lead “Chemtransa by Juta Racing”.

This is the first year without women drivers.
