At the “Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook” race festival, everyone can leave their mark on the history of the event together with the famous racers. Everyone who has a driver's licence and a well-maintained car will be able to compete in the auto slalom for spectators, which will be held for the eighth time.
Auto slalom is becoming more and more popular in Europe because this discipline does not require any special preparation, it probably had the biggest number of participants of different nationalities during the FIA Motorsport Games this year.
Those who want to experience racing to the full are invited to try their hand at the “Technitis slalom for spectators”.
Auto Slalom competition kicks off on Thursday, 20 of July and runs through each day of the Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook race festival.
“Technitis slalom for spectators” competition is organised by professionals from the Vilnius Sports Driving Centre. Although their course configurations are challenging even for experienced auto slalom participants, many debutants also have a chance to take home the winner's cup.
As in the past, the “Technitis slalom for spectators” is open to any car that meets the technical requirements, and you are not forbidden to complete the course as many times as you like.
According to the organiser of the event, Andrej Savchenko, Head of the Vilnius City Sports Driving Centre, this year's “Technitis slalom for spectators” participants will compete in three car classes: front-wheel-drive (FWD), rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD).
The ladies will compete in a separate class.
