For the eighth time in a row, and traditionally held the day before the start of the “Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook” race, a large group of women has taken on a full-day adventure – a fun and navigational rally that starts on the main racetrack. This year, 97 women’s teams accepted the “Women’s Challenge”, sponsored by “Olybet”, setting off on a 200 km journey around the seaside region, tackling a variety of tasks and obstacles along the way.
Participants will face slalom challenges at an autodrome near Klaipėda and at the motocross stadium in Kretinga, as well as solve various tasks at selected sightseeing spots and memorable locations in the region.
Plenty of prizes, but the best reward – time spent together
In the evening, after completing the full route and all tasks, participants will be celebrated on the main stage of the “Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook” event. They will compete in five different categories, giving many teams the chance to take home an award. All teams will be ranked in the General classification, while the best-performing first-time participants will be recognized in a separate group. Awards will also be given to two-person teams and to teams with more than two members, as well as to those driving electric vehicles.
A new category this year – Three Challenges Plus – will recognize teams with at least one participant who has competed in the event more than three times. Since this challenge often becomes a great team-building activity for colleagues, there will also be a company team category.
“This fun, navigational rally is an unforgettable day out with friends, where women’s teams compete on a specially prepared course, solve creative challenges, and enjoy the fun of the experience. This year, there will be plenty of prizes and awards – participants will compete across several categories, giving everyone the chance to showcase their cleverness and driving skills,” said event organizer Jolanta Iselionienė.
Results will be determined by the times set on special stages, time penalties received in speed tests, and any additional penalties collected during the rally. The full route must be followed using a dedicated roadbook, and participants must arrive at time control points exactly at the scheduled time.
Winners will be the teams that perform best in the tasks and maintain the correct average speed in designated stages. The top three crews in each category will receive trophies and prizes from event sponsors.
