“Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook“, the greatest motorsport festival in Eastern Europe, returns to Palanga for the 24th time on 19-22 July!
Just like every summer, the Klaipeda - Palanga - Kretinga motorway will be transformed into the world-famous race track, where there will be no shortage of speed and excitement. In addition to the main 1006 km race, as every year, spectators will have the opportunity to see or even take part in many additional events.
Many motorsport fans marked the race date on their calendars, and now they have an opportunity to choose the best ticket and reserve the best spot to watch the race.
There are several types of tickets to satisfy the desires of fans. The general admission tickets will be the most popular, but the new edition VIP SUPERFANS tickets will be the most valuable, however, the number of these tickets will be limited. The VIP Superfans tickets will have access to private parking, shuttles services, VIP zone at the racing village, Pit Walk and Grid Walk options and even the special zone in the Pit box.
The promoters know how to make this event as comfortable as possible for all the fans and participants. The racing village will be built with parking options, a camping site, unique stands for participants, a food court and even a stage with the music on for the whole three days. The most important part of this event will be the action on the track that some people are waiting an entire year.
An entertainment zone will be open from Thursday to Saturday night, with many attractions for both children and adults.
“Klaipedos autobusų parkas” will provide complimentary transport from Palanga (bus stop at Vytautas st., next to the church) to the event and back.
For those who will be arriving with their cars, there will be car parks in the event area. Free parking on the Klaipeda side and paid parking in the event area.
A VIP area will also be available, where VIP pass holders will be able to not only watch the competition in comfort and enjoy delicious food and drinks but also follow the work of the commentators and win various prizes.
The “Technitis slalom for spectators” will also be open during all Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook race festival, so for all those who want to try motorsport in their own cars, we suggest you come from the Klaipeda side. Event ticket holders will be able to stay in the camping area on the event grounds at no extra charge. You will be able to set up with your own campervan or tent.
The event will be broadcast on TV3 Group channels, and commentary from the venue will be available via online race radio.
The event starts on Wednesday when all teams meet for the Technical and Administrative Commissions. For true motorsport fans, this is a great opportunity to get to know the teams and see the race cars. This year, the Technical and Administrative Commissions are moving from the S. Darius and S. Girenas Stadium to the race track, next to the main gate of the event. The good news is that this day is free of charge, and “Klaipedos autobusu parkas” will provide free transport from Palanga to the venue and back from 12 pm.
On Thursday, 20 July, all cars will traditionally parade through the streets of Palanga and stop at Vytautas st. for the traditional opening of the event and the “Dynami:t” Super Sprint competition.
During the opening ceremony, the action will also take place on the event grounds, where we will find the “Porsche” Club's ongoing drives, which will give way to the first practice sessions of the “Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook” race in the afternoon.
Traditionally, on Thursday, we will also see drag races. The qualifying runs will take place on the track towards Klaipeda, and in the evening, the final runs will move to the main “Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook” race track.
Friday is always packed with all kinds of attractions both on and off the track. On this day, the track will host the start of the “108km Women's Challenge” ( https://racing.lt/en/108km-women-challenge), as well as the Historic Car Show and the race.
Friday culminates with qualifying of the “Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook” race.
On the main race day, the hustle and bustle start in the morning. From 10:30 am, teams will start lining up for a start procedure, which is broadcast live at 12 pm. The race will continue into the evening, but during the day, there will be plenty of action not only on the track but also in the village of the event, where traditionally, various competitions and shows will entertain all the spectators – “dB Drag”, “Memel Motor Fest” and many other attractions, and the closing concert with, of course, the awards ceremony of the Aurum 1006 km powered by Hankook race.
