Only women take part in one of Aurum 1006 km racing festival events – the 108 km women challenge. 81 crew each with 2-5 women started their challenge in Palanga‘s racetrack on Friday morning and finished couple hours later in Atostogu parkas.

They did slalom racing, special quizzes and other tasks. The creativity of participants made all region of Palanga look nicer than usual – women decorated their cars and spend much time finding ways how to look different. The track in Palanga is challenging for all drifters from Lithuania – some are afraid of it, some love it. But drift fans are guaranteed to get an astonishing view every year, because close calls when powerful drift cars slightly kiss the barriers happen on almost every run.

The Palanga’s Aurum 1006 km racetrack in the evening of Thursday was reserved for street racers: 56 drivers challenged themselves in Street Drag by Startline. Every race fan could take part in the event with his own car and many of them dared to try themselves. The drag race car park was full of various vehicles – Lamborghini Aventador, 1000 bhp Nissan GT-Rs and even a standard Opel Calibra and two Volvo FH trucks.
