The race “AURUM 1006km race” on July 18th – 21 will have plenty of events. The organisers surprise every year and this time is no exception.

The new challenge for women will take place “108km women challenge”. The team should consist of two women and the race will take place on the beautiful route by the sea. The registration have started and the form can be found here: REGISTRATION

Celebrities’ race was very popular part of 1000km race in Palanga a few years ago. “Promo events” director Darius Jonušis explained that last year it was not included in the program because of the lack of time, however this year and even next year celebrities’ race will again be presented in Palanga “Aurum 1006km race”.

A little bit more than 100 days are left until July 18th and the start of the race in Palanga. This year for the 19th time everyone is invited to Palanga to watch the amazing event, organized by “Promo Events“.

Darius Jonušis, the director of the “Promo events“ have stated that the preparation for the race is going as usual. More and more drivers are signing up for participation preparing their cars for the summer season and training sessions. According to D. Jonušis, this year‘s event is a “dress rehearsal“ for next year‘s 20th anniversary.

This week “Promo Events“ has started a registration for the 1006km race on July 18-21. The organizers were surprised of quick teams‘ reactions, the most amusing part was when the first registration form came not from Lithuania but from Belarus.

The first team which has registered was “RCM Motorsport“. The team leader Jegoras Jermakovičius told the press that he is excited to participate and have watched the race either live in Palanga or on TV. He is fascinated by the race and its organization.

Several well-known drivers and a couple of thousand “15 min.lt“ readers have voted and chosen the best Lithuanian drivers and the best events of 2017. At first jury members have voted and then the readers of “15 min.lt“ joined in. Everything was counted and “The Best Car Sports Event“ award went to, for the 18th organized, “ENEOS 1006km race“.
