All the teams were done 186 laps at 16:26 marking the race’s halfway.

Afer the first hour, the TOP3 included all “Porsche 911 GT3 Cup” cars. In the first place “Palanga Spa Hotel by EMG Motorsport” remained the longest.

“Circle K milesPLUS racing team” is the second while the third place belongs to “Palanga Spa Hotel 2 by SpeedLover”.

Aidas Bubinas, Valdas Jarutis, Vitoldas Milius and Yogendra Pratap finished on Saturday in Palanga. They all broke the record by driving with “Kia Soul EV” 1000 km in 21 h 33 min. They have started on Friday afternoon and spend less than an a day driving the main cities of Lithuania.

The 19th “Aurum 1006 km Races” event gets the audience excited. The launch has gone remarkably smoothly and the intrigue has begun.

In the first hour “Porsche 911 GT3 Cup” has pulled away from the opponents. Robertas Kupčikas from “Palanga Spa Hotel by EMG Motorsport” was in the lead, thus “Circle K milesPLUS racing team” has lacked behind almost by a minute.

R. Kupčikas drove 46 laps in the first hour.

“Palanga Spa Hotel 2 by SpeedLover” was getting ahead, yet the Belgian team “Independence by JR Motorsport“ su BMW E46 GTR” surpassed them to the third place.

On Saturday at 12 o’clock, the racers could finally start their engines on the track.

In front of the start line, the racing teams lined up as usual in accordance with the results of the qualifying races.

Racers and team leaders were congratulated by the Mayors of Klaipėda, Palanga and Kretinga, ex-Prime Minister Algirdas Butkevičius, Lithuanian Automobile Sport Federation, “Promo Events” organiser Darius Jonušis and others.

On Friday, 59 women’s crew began “108 km Women’s Challenge Powered by Kristiana” rally which was initiated by TV8 channel.

Ladies’ rally attended various representatives of different ages and professions. There was “Lietuvos kelių policija” which consisted of four women who all drove “Audi A6”.

“Spanguolės” team consisting of Lina Kraftė and Greta Vėsaitė drove “Range Rover Sport”.

A lot of audience sympathy received “Moterų televizijos TV8” team with “Kia Ceed”. In the team, TV presenter K. Rimienė said that she respects every opponent but she will not go without a fight.

Every year “Aurum 1006 km Race” takes place in Palanga where the annual Lithuanian PRO league of drifting is held. Everything was going great this year, however, the race did not end well for some at all.

All Day Drift Racing in Palanga

In the 4th stage of Lithuanian PRO Championship, the event was being hosted in the streets of Palanga.

The difference between the qualifications and the main competition is almost inexistent. Yet the main distinction is that the qualifications only last for 1 hour. These qualifications always surprise the spectators with their emotional rides.

In the “Aurum 1006 km Races”, the technicians who service the racing teams have their own running game. On Friday afternoon, technicians ran in a hot weather, therefore they started drinking “Rokiškio Naminis” milk which helped the runners to gain their strength.

The first to cross the finish line in the 1006 metres long game was Augustinas Baltramiejūnas. The 2nd place took Edvardas Barisas, while Andžej Vasilevski accomplished the 3rd.

The winners were congratulated by “Aurum 1006 km Races” organizer Darius Jonušis who awarded them by “Prolong Super Lubricants”, “H2auto” and other prizes.

In the Friday trainings of “Aurum 1006 km Races”, participants had an opportunity to get used to the cars and track. A lot of the teams enhanced their lap times and results.

In the training races, BMW and “Porsche” crushed other teams. The best timing in the training showcased “Skuba Racing Team” with “BMW M3 V8” with 1 min. 12, 881 sec.

Not by a lot lagged the “Circle K milesPLUS Racing Team” and then followed “Palanga Spa Hotel by EMG Motorsport”, both of them drove the “Porsche 911 GT3 Cup”.
